How to get Started With Food Storage

Think of the foods you already use. What are your staple ingredients? Store the items that you use everyday and the things that your family already eats. Make a list and then determine how much you need and the best way to store each item. Then think of the long-term foods you can store that you are not currently using. Plan on how to attain and store those foods.
Are you concerned with the cost? Start buy buying something in bulk like oatmeal. Eat it for breakfast and use it in other recipes. Take the money you save on your grocery bill and buy some beans. Learn to use those. Then buy something else in bulk. Keep doing that and soon you will have a good long-term food storage and you will know how to use it.
Do you know that there are a lot of different types of grains? Read about those different types of grains and try some out.

You have probably wondered something like: What do I do with all the wheat I have stored?
Do you have a lot of beans stored? Read over a quick method of using some of those beans
Look over some recipes and try something new. Take notes. Adjust the recipes to the way you and your family like things.
Most of all - Do not be afraid to experiment!
